Hi there, we have an issue where shortcodes are appearing in the post excerpt which is causing issues in the design of the site. Can you please help us remove any shortcodes from excerpts?

Generally you should not include shortcodes in the excerpt and put only clean text into the excerpt box on your posts.
You might be able to create a function for stripping out shortcodes, but not really part of the theme as that’s part of WordPress core functions.
