like this theme’s update; https://themeforest.net/item/publisher-magazine-blog-newspaper-and-review-wordpress-theme/15801051?s_rank=1

”publisher support Google AMP with exclusive plugin that we developed and bundled inside theme to load 4x faster in mobiles.”

use the ‘official’ wordpress amp plugin by Automattic

Is AMP and Facebook Instant Articles Supported by Newspaper now? Can we use the Plugin from PageFrog? https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/pagefrog/

Newspaper has supported AMP since Nov. 2015: Simply use the Automattic AMP plugin, and possibly the Yoast SEO ‘glue’ addon if you need that with Yoast.

As with all things, you should “try it out” and see which solution works for you. Coke vs pepsi 🙂

But Newspaper has no dedicated AMP CSS File does it?

Nope. No reason to do that. Since AMP is changing frequently, simpler to use an agnostic plugin created by the same people who make WordPress and are updating it for their premium clients like TIME magazine, and the like.

So, by using an agnostic plugin, developed by WordPress folk, you’re not “tied” to any theme or framework.

Simply the best way to do it.

I understand but there are some things that just don’t work with AMP. For example the video post type, smart lists or review function. 🙁

Hello,

Sorry but indeed not all elements will work with AMP unfortunately. For the moment we have no alternative solution to provide.

Thank you for your understanding.

Keep in mind theme is still mobile ready, so any pages not AMP compatible will still load well on all mobile devices as the mobile/responsive version. World won’t end.

It’s actually more critical to look at next-gen speed optimization of your actual content at the ground level, such as php7 + https + http/2 … that is the future of the web and AMP is part of the overall evolution, but these “big 3” items are the most critical to the future of your site in mobile.

You might be right, overdoing it is my sickness 😀
Looking into https at the moment and from what I heard google likes it when the entire page runs on it but so you happen to know if there are any flaws regarding speed over normal http?
