Is there a way to show e.g. data from the Post’s Source field together with the headlines in the Recent post widget. I know I have to edit the widget Code and I have tried to manipulate the code, but I’m not that strong in Php coding.

Hello,
I’m sorry but the built in worpdress recent posts filter cannot be modified in that way easly. I think we can do that via one of our modules/blocks (but I’m not sure). Will that work for you?

Yes that could be a solution, especially if the recent posts could be filtered by category or tags. That could be very nice and useful.
