Hi.
I need to change Newspaper theme to show “The Events Calendar” items in the different blocks. the tag workaround is not good enough.
I’ve browsed through the code but cant see where to alter the code to get posttype events into the feeds.
Has anyone an good idea how to do that.

You can add in block filter this custom post type: tribe_events like here: http://screencast.com/t/2ejukDcsA But you also need to add the post post type in that field, otherwise your post won’t be displayed in block.

The theme display the category tags only for posts. To display it for custom post types, like tribe_events you will need to modify get_category() function: http://screencast.com/t/coUCoydoK This is a complex task and I can’t provide a solution now. If you need this you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer speed customization services at the moment.
