Showing Updated Date in SERPs

I’m trying to figure out how to show the Updated Date of a Post in the SERPs, rather than the Published Date. Video of issue:

Facebook Post that explains a solution- just wondering if this is something that can be figured out without significant dev work:

Hello,

You need to delete the Single Post date with right-click and let only the modified date > https://i.imgur.com/gvpj466.png, then you need to as google to re-index your posts with the new status.

Let me know the results after the post is re-indexed.

Thank you!

I edited the tagdiv template I use and removed that date, leaving only the modified date. Is that what you meant? Now it only shows modified date:

I submitted it for reindexing.

Still waiting for the SERP to update- SERP says 21, Modified is 28th.

Going back to this Facebook Post, it suggests a certain code that needs to be added to get this configured:

https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8urbndL

The specific sections states:

You can see my code here. This is the correct code. This is not in my header – this is inline with my date on my page.
<time class=”entry-time” datetime=”2021-07-16T23:47:34-04:00″ itemprop=”dateModified”> July 16, 2021</time>

Thoughts? Thanks.

Hello,

@gumball44
,
Unfortunately, for the mobile theme/AMP plugin, the post doesn’t have the option to display the modified date.

@Bezukhof
,
Just to let you know, like everything with SEO and Google, rich snippets take time to appear in search results and depend heavily on the authority of the website.

It’s totally up to Google and takes time to appear rich results as per Google crawling and indexing.

Do you think it will be added in the next update ? I don’t use AMP Plugin, only Tagdiv mobile theme. As I can see, i’m not the only one to make this request.

Thank you

Hi @gumball44,

This request was sent to our developers, but I don’t think it will be implemented.

Thank you for your understanding!

Too bad, why do you think they won’t implement it?

Hello,

I will send them this request once again, and I will explain to them that there are more users who want this implementation.

Thank you!

Thank you.

It is crucial since Google uses mobile to index articles. Having the mobile plugin without this feature is useless even if we enable it on Tagdiv Composer.

Hello,

In the next update, this option will be introduced for posts using the mobile theme plugin.

Thank you!
