Sidebar and single post layout

In your demo in a single post page the bottom sections (author box section + realted article section + comment section) are as wide as the post text above them (2/3 column) and the smart sidebar on the right goes down until the end of the page (1/3 column)

In my single post page, instead, the author box section + realted article section + comment section
are always full width,
both if I set the NO sidebar option in post settings: http://screencast.com/t/yn6WdL0mNJ
and if I set the default or right sidebar option: http://screencast.com/t/PyH9O56N3O

But I want the bottom sections are 2/3 wide not full width!
How can I get it?

Hi

That seems to be a css problem and can be caused by some plugin that overwrite the theme css, so you can try deactivating all plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and test again.
Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist please provide a link so i can inspect it closer.

Thanks!

Hi Andrei
I don’t think it was a css problem
I found in your documentation that Visual Composer only works in pages, not in articles!

So I created a new article with CLASSIC mode (not Backend editor) and then I set up its sidebar in Widget Area.

Now the whole article has the right width, included its bottom sections as author box, related content and comments.

Maybe you can add this information in your documentation so that people know how to create and manage sidebar for articles.

Hi,

Glad that you have managed to solve this! Visual Composer can be used also on articles, but we recommend to be used on pages as some issues may appear if it is used on posts. Like you already know it can be used for post content(use columns) not for bottom areas like author box, related articles.. The best way is to create your articles without using pagebuilder(use default Visual Editor) so you can manage sidebar like you wish – https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-formats-for-tinymce/

Thanks!
