I was trying to create a custom layout for a category and for this category page I don’t want to have a sidebar.
When I choose no sidebar, then all my posts within this category don’t have a sidebar anymore.
Is this the normal behaviour? Because I want to keep my sidebar for the posts and the only thing I could see is to go to every post within this category and select a sidebar. But I have more then 60 posts for this category.
So it would be handier to do this the other way around, only change the layout for this particular category page, but there is no option for that.
What’s the best way for not having a sidebar on particular category pages, but having sidebars for the posts within the category?

The sidebar for the posts will be inherited from the primary category, unless a sidebar is specified. Then it will override this inherited sidebar – https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
If you want to have a sidebar for all the posts in one category, just set a primary category for them. You could use the featured category for example. The sidebar set on that category will be displayed on posts. Or manually set a sidebar for these posts.
