Dear tagdiv crew and Newspaper fans,
I have an issue with sidebars on pages. First, there is no general problem if I use a 2/3 and 1/3 row at the VC page layout and insert a “Dynamic Sidebar” element on the right column, if this is the standard sidebar.
As soon as it’s a different pre-defined sidebar – like we need it for some pages because a health disclamer or different ad codes should be displayed – the right column stays empty. To test the content of the sidebar, I changed the sidebar setting at a test post and it appeared correctly.
I can select the special sidebar at the “Dynamic Sidebar” element on VC, it just does not appear at the page.
Can you help me?

Hi,
Well the widgetized sidebar element (I presume you are referring to) will grab a sidebar from the widgets area of wordpress. Does your sidebar in the widgets area have widgets set to it? Please check that area and then use the widgetized sidebar element to pull a sidebar into a page. It works properly for us so i cannot recreate the issue on my end.
Plugins can also interfere so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
