I upgraded my site from Newspaper 7.2 >> 8.7 and all is working perfectly except for the sidebars. It is only showing the default WordPress sidebar and also no styling for headings etc. I have deletedmy old sidebar in widgets and created new ones in Themepanel >> Template settings and loaded new text field and still not showing. I have gone and set the sidebar as default for all sections and even selected it on my page settings for individual pages.
my site is here: http://www.mbuyekezoboxing.co.za
Any idea why the custom sidebars wont show?

Hello gsdmagency,
Please check the Widgets section and the settings from Theme panel because your custom sidebars should have to be there and works as expected. The update should not have any bad influence in this case and for this functionality. Remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Catalin
Thank you, I went over all settings a few times before and have set all the sidebars to my custom sidebar but still does not show my custom sidebar? Where can I edit the code for default sidebar so i can try and add the widgets I want in it there manually as I don’t seem to get the website to pickup the settings I saved.
Here are the screens from website – visit http://www.mbuyekezoboxing.co.za/about-us/ and you will see that sidebar is default(does not show widgets of Newspaper Default) and not one of my custom sidebars
Hello gsdmagency,
Check the below section for Inactive Widgets. Also, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so I can take a closer look at your setup page and check your sidebars. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for your understanding!
