SidebarPost and Footer not showing on mobile (Facebook like box)

Hello,
I have a plugin called “Facebook Page Plugin”, which is added as a widget to “SidebarPost”. However, SidebarPost does not show up on mobile.

Sidebar on desktop: https://prnt.sc/i7sy2p
Sidebar not showing on mobile: http://prntscr.com/i7syhw
I can see there is no room for a sidebar on mobile, but is there an alternative to make it show?

We also have the plugin added to our footer, plus a bunch of text, however, on mobile, neither the facebook box nor text shows up. It’s as if the mobile version uses a separate footer?

Footer on desktop: https://prnt.sc/i7sx1q
Footer on mobile: http://prntscr.com/i7sxid

Hello Juusuhako,

Unfortunately, the theme has not been tested with the “Facebook Page Plugin” and we have no idea about the theme behavior with this plugin, sorry! Also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with the theme. You should try it yourself and check the results. As a hint, you should check the plugin’s documentation from here -> https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Catalin,
I can understand you don’t provide support for 3rd party plugins, that is understandable.

Nontheless though, if we look away from the facebook plugin, the SidebarPost (which from what I understand is a part of your theme) does not show on mobile. Is there any way to push it down/below our articles/posts (or just make it show at all) on mobile?

Also, the footer, which is completely different on mobile as opposed to desktop, is also a part of the theme.

For example, why does the text on desktop footer not show on mobile footer? Why does mobile footer show a logo when the desktop doesn’t have one?

Since these two issues are theme-related, maybe I could get some help with that? 🙂

Hello,

Please keep in mind that the Sidebar for post pages or pages will be falling down under the articles by default if you are not using the Mobile Theme, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HaLqsotkt Also, please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer.

Thanks for the message!

Hello,

I have reinspected your website and I saw that your sidebar for post pages are not displayed on mobile devices. It’s strange! Please try to update the theme via FTP way, clear all the caches and remove all of the untested plugins and check the results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the message!

Does the same method apply for having the sidebar show up on front page too? (or is front page also considered a “post”).

And what about the footer?

Hello Juusuhako,

Yes, this is the same theme behavior for the homepage which has a sidebar. On mobile devices, this one will fall down under the main content.

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

If you want to have some text in Footer on mobile, notice that your description or desired text should have to be added here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/JBECCcQ6ydqX If is not what you mean, please provide more details.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi again, I basically wanted the footer on desktop to be identical on mobile, I didn’t know they had separate settings, but I can get that to work, thanks.

In regards to the first issue my colleague responds to me that the problem is that no widgets are showing on mobile. Even the weather one (which comes with the theme) doesn’t show up. Its as if widgets has been disabled for mobile, which is a problem.

Hello Juusuhako,

Please notice that footer template style/layout cannot be identical on the mobile footer, sorry! The looks are different because the width is different. If you want to have the same elements on desktop and mobile you should not use the Mobile Theme.

Thanks.
