Sidebars not showing up

Hello. I’ve got my new site set up on a dev server, but I’m noticing an issue where an author is set as an “editor” as opposed to an “admin”, the default sidebar does not show? williamsonsource.com/devn/how-to-introduce-your-kids-to-firearms/

If an author is set to an admin, the post sidebar does show, but if the author is set to editor, the default post sidebar does not show.

Hello,

Do you maybe have a user role editor plugin installed? Our theme does not offer any control over the content based on the user role.

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

We actually resolved this – the issue was in the theme settings for categories. I wasn’t aware you could set a sidebar per category, and there were a couple of category that had wonky sidebars assigned (td_demo_sidebar?). Thanks for your help here.

Hello,

Glad you solved it. The primary category selected for the post is explained better here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/

Thanks.
