Hi,
I’m trying to create a very simple homepage that has a background image and some text. I can do that using tagDiv Composer, but am not able to remove the top header and “click here to create a menu” text even though I’ve disabled everything in settings. Am I missing something?

Hello !
Only you as a logged in administrator can see that. That option cannot be removed since it is a wordpress option.
