How can I make the Single Post Featured Image load as fast as the Single Post Bg Featured Image?
Curently the Single Post Featured Image needs 2-3 seconds to load (there is a kind of lazy load installed, not depending on server) while the Single Post Bg Featured Image loads nearly instantly?
The reason I’m asking, I would like to keep the speed from Single Post Bg Featured Image but need to add a caption which is not supported for Single Post Bg Featured Image.

The differences between BG featured image and single post featured image:
– the description (capture) will not appear in BG
– the image size you can set only in BG, so in a single post featured image will take the image in original sizes
– more options for styling in a single post featured image than BG

Thank you for the infos. The deactivation of the Loading Image Effects fixes the load issue but I would like to keep that for images below the fold. So is there any way to disable this effect just for the featured image? Any line of code that coud stop it just for the featured image?
Regarding Bg Featured Image vs Single Post Featured Image, I need caption + custom image size in one. Unfortunately this option is currently not given. Please add it to the wish list. Thanks!
