I installed the theme about 4/5 days ago and finally got it working, google has re-indexed it and the site description on google says “payday loans today no credit check.”
What has caused this and how do I fix it?

Search your site for that text and remove it.
Don’t insert or put text ads on your pages.
If your site has been hacked, make sure you have updated vulnerable plugins, and updated WordPress from 3.9 to 4.1, etc.

I have this kind of spam as well. Not sure how it’s come about? Only on about 2 articles it shows spam on Google.
