I need to verify my site for google search console, adding a metatag on homepage. Where do i put? I think in “header.php”, head section, but didn’t work đ Someone can help this newbie? Thank you!

Better to require verification of the website through a html-file, which you simply copy to the root folder of your website.
To verify ownership using a HTML file, choose the HTML file upload method on the verification details page for your site, and follow the instructions shown: https://www.google.com/webmasters/verification/verification

Yes. We have always used the html file here, as it’s theme agnostic and won’t ever need to be done again.
