The visual composer keeps showing up as needing to be updated from 4.3.4 to 4.3.5, when I try to update it I receive the message:
“An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.”
Yes. You can ignore that.
1) the version included with theme is bundled version – please see the site docs which are super useful in understanding how to use this theme: (see link right side of this page!)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
2) the version included with theme may not be the exact latest version, and so there may be times when you see a note that new version is available; however you cannot update as you don’t have a separate license, but a bundled license which is updated with each theme update. The bundled version does not need license, but is only updated with theme as it must be tested for compatibility with the theme custom functions and some custom modules.
UPSHOT: You can ignore the note about needing an update — you don’t have to update, it’s just telling you there is one.
The latest version for the theme, is found as part of the theme download on Theme Forest in the plugins folder for the theme.
(NOTE: TagDiv have tried to included code which stops the “nag” from appearing, but it doesn’t seem to always work, hence why you might or might not see notice about “update available.” But, see the theme docs!)
