Hi — we’re running into a new issue that wasn’t happening before with the “Slide” component. It was at the top of our home page pulling in posts tagged “Featured.” We thought it would be more clear if we changed the category name to “Featured-Home”, and we took the necessary steps to make sure the “Slide” component was set to pull in “Featured-Home” stories, but then it just disappeared.
We then changed the category name back to “Featured” thinking that was the problem (and made the necessaring adjustments to the posts), but still the “Slide” component will not appear if we use the “Featured” category. We have one post categorized as “Featured” and have quadruple-checked that the “Slide” setting are set to populate with the “Featured” category, but no luck.
We did test the “Slide” with a different category that already existed, and it worked / appeared. However, when we tried to create a brand new category and use that one, no luck (the component just doesn’t appear on the front end).
We need to figure out a way to get the “Featured” category to work with the “Slide” component or a new category we can create — but neither seem to be. Any help is much appreciated!
URL: littledigitalco.biz/publiceye (password to see the site: investigate123) — right now you will see there is no “Slide” at the top of the home page, even though we believe everything is configured properly.
Please let me know if you need WordPress login details and I will send your way.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Abi,
Please make sure you select the right category from the block settings: http://screencast.com/t/T8WWisyjU and make sure you have posts set to that specific category. If you simply create a new category that has no posts in it, then the slide element will have nothing to display.
Thank you!
Hi, thanks for your reply. I’m sure I have the right settings and that there are posts assigned to the category I’m choosing to display in the block. That is the problem. With everything set appropriately, it’s still not working. Any other thoughts? Would you like the WP login so you can see the issue?
