slide gallery not working in Safari

Hello! I put up a photo gallery today using the tagdiv slide gallery as usual. Had a reader contact me to say that he could not get the gallery to advance; the arrow buttons at the top didn’t work.

I checked it in Chrome, and it was working fine. But in Safari, I had the same problem as he mentioned – it wouldn’t advance.

I have switched it to the default WordPress gallery for now. But I’m wondering if anyone else has reported this problem?

Same behavior: works in Chrome, doesn’t work in Safari.

Hi, is look that this is not working on your website correctly even in chrome. I just checked again on my install an for me is working, please try the follow steps:
1. Disable tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/uzBdRB9.png
2. delete tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/xGGfYE7.png
3. Reinstall tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/Ay0zJHn.png or -> https://i.imgur.com/ZMgV9at.png
4. Clear all cache from your website, host and browser ( for browser use force refresh Ctrl Shift R ).

If the problem persist, please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins (theme plugins), also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Let me know the results!
Thank you!

OK, found the problem, and need your help to fix it.

We use SiteGround for hosting. They have a plugin, the SG Optimizer, that hooks your site to their server-based caching, AND does a number of other things to speed up the site. Through the process of elimination, I found it was this setting that caused the problem:

SG Optimizer -> Frontend Optimization -> Defer Render-blocking JS (turned ON)

The setting allows for excluding scripts from being deferred. Which tagdiv script contains the code for the gallery? The drop-down list contains the following:

js_files_for_front
js_files_vue_modals
js_files_vue_modals_last
js_posts_autoload
js_files_for_live_css
js_files_for_plugin_live_css
ace.js
ext-language_tools
ext-searchbox
tagdiv_theme

Hi BruceInLouisville,

If I’m right you need to add on that list the code function that is for slide gallery, I think this can help you -> https://i.imgur.com/mgtYRZU.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Gmj809X.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Z4FXRgt.png

Hope this will help!

Hi,

I can’t say, I will have to make some tests. The best way to do it would be directly on a website where it is happening. I will need admin access to the website. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with the link to the website and admin login, and a link to this topic. I will take a look and try to help as soon as possible.

Thank you!
