Regarding the pages with sliding articles, how can one control the number of articles that appear after the opened article? Is it possible to control the type of articles that appear after the main article, and how?

If you are referring to infinite load inside the post, then you can set the limit here: https://i.imgur.com/GcPhMGy.png in Manger (Website manager) -> settings
