Hi TagDiv and happy holiday!
as per title I’m facing a weird issue.
I’ve just started using your cool smart lists but if I insert an image it does not add td-sml-description, so the description is literally stripped off.
Here’s the code:

Hmmm… tried number 8 smart list (the one you’re using on your example) and it indeed works. But not quite the others. In the specific:
Smart list 1
Shows number, title and image but NOT the description
Smart list 2
Shows number, title and image but NOT the description
Smart list 3
DOES NOT show number, title, image and description
Smart list 4
Shows only the image (small on the right) but NOT number, title and description
Smart list 5
Shows number, title and image but NOT the description
Smart list 6
Shows number, title and image but NOT the description
Smart list 7
Shows number, title and image but NOT the description
Smart list 8
WORKS!
So what’s going on? 🙂
P.S.: I do have latest theme version and am under wp 4.6.2

The smart lists have a different implementation and different smart lists provide different results.
The description is not shown on any smartlist as it only shows up on attachment pages but the markup for the description is there.
Now i’m not sure exactly what the issue is. The description markup is there but the description itself is not shown on any smartlist or post at all because the description is only meant to show up on attachement page.
So my question is: Do you need the td_sml_description class or the description itself to show up on smartlists?
Description – This text can be displayed on the attachment page for your image. You can enter as much information as you want in the description field. Like the story behind a photograph, how you took the picture, or anything else that you want to share can go here. You can even add links in the description field

Hi Bogdan,
I understand your point and I’m going to try to clarify the issue better.
What I mean is that the paragraph enclosed in <p> below the image is not shown(!).
So, image (caption and all) is shown but not any text added below it.
Per what I see, the element ‘Description’ in the array is passed only on smart list 8 but not on the others.
Any ideas, please?

I ran a few tests but all the paragraphs are shown on the smart lists. Let’s try a different approach. Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin so we can login and see the issue. Maybe there is an issue on your end that I cannot detect on my end. Was this issue ever fixed? I just purchased the theme this weekend and am having the same issue – only smart list 8 works. All the others are missing the Description.
No,there was no update done to the smart lists for the moment. This has not been approved by the development team yet so I cannot say for sure the smart lists will even be adjusted for all to show the description until the development team decide on it as they decide what gets implemented in the theme.

How long does it normally take for the dev team to decide to fix these type of issues?
Is there a temporary fix I can do on my side to get the description to show?

Unfortunately, we cannot tell when it will take, sorry! Please keep in mind that we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.

Right now, basically I cannot use the Smart Lists, which is one of the features that I really liked about this theme.

Please create a new smart list on your side for testing and send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer. There you should provide more details about your problem, how you create the smart list and which is the problem, please. Also, you can provide some useful screenshots for a better understanding. Provide there the link of this topic so we can quickly identify you.

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I think its not by plugin or something else…
We didnt changed any plugin or anything.. This happened probably when we updated to 7.8 newspaper theme
