In my smartlist article the font size in the intro first paragraph is larger than the rest of the body fonts (starting with list item #1). Is there a way I can make all the body fonts appear the same size as the intro paragraph? I checked the html but there was nothing about font size there.

You can change the from size of post content from theme panel > theme fonts: http://screencast.com/t/usPl79y6R

The top is larger
I believe the paragraph text on a page/post is one dot larger than a caption for the photo/image. I believe this is intentional.
You can, of course, over-ride this with custom CSS.
