Hi,
1- Is it possible to keep the global theme setting for the smart sidebar deactivated and override it for a particular page? If so – please do let me know how to go about doing this.
2 – I have 3,000 odd articles and about 500 odd categories under which these articles are categorized. Is there some A – Z listing plugin or something that I can use to show these categories and Sub-categories on the Article Archives page?

1. Unfortunately the theme does not have an option in this regard and to achieve the desired result you will need some customizations in theme’s core files. This is a complex task which involve many customization in order to be achieved. We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if really need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
2. We didn’t tested any plugin with a similar functionality with Newsmag theme and I can’t make any recommendation in this regard, sorry. You can do a search online for some plugins, try a few of them and use the one who fits you best.
