I think I found the problem. For me, it is conflict with Jetpack plugin. If i deactivate Jetpack it shows fine. Trying to find the cause and a fix.
As it is confirmed it is problem with Jetpack + Newspaper theme, I fixed it temporarily by placing the following css code in my style sheet:
.post .td_smart_list_2 .td-sml-description p:first-child {
display: none;
}
Hi,
We had some reports regarding the photon feature of jetpack plugin, it generates and serves a new, re-sized image based on img element’s width and height attributes” besides the one theme smart list adds to the page.
The jetpack photon feature can cause issues and while the theme works based on the same system (creates and serves/uses thumbnails for each uploaded image we haven’t tested it with the theme so it would be best to disable it.
