Smartlist Title Overflow

Hi,

I’m using the smartlist feature (which is brilliant by the way) but it seems to be cutting off my Titles. Is there a way I can enable overflow to be visible and just wrap below like the normal titles for posts? I tried adding the “overflow: visible;” tag to the css but that didn’t seem to do the trick. Maybe I’m putting it in the wrong place?

Please let me know how I can fix this.

Thanks so much,
Sam

Hello Sam,

Please provide us with more details. A link to your website and a screen capture will be helpful.

Thank you!

The link to the websitehttp://milkcrater.com/index.php/2015/09/10/all-of-the-appropriate-reactions-to-apples-keynote-address/

You will see on that post that the smart list cuts off the title of each lengthy list item. I would like to make this wrap. If you need a screenshot, I can provide that as well, but the link will do a better job of illustrating the issue.

Thanks again,
Sam

Hello Sam

I have checked your site but it seems to display fine to me. I don’t see any cutting off anywhere. The problem might be at your end. Try to clear your cache and the browser’s as well.

Hi Bogdan,

That screenshot is actually a perfect illustration of how the title of each Smart List item is getting cut off prematurely. For instance Number 3 reads, ‘”Instant Crush” – Daft Punk feat. Jul…’ but should in fact read, ‘”Instant Crush” – Daft Punk feat. Julian Casablancas’

The same things occurs on number 4.

Hi Sam,
This is the default behavior of the theme. There is a limit of 55 characters tot the title, but you can change that from the files like in this example (i set the limit to 100) http://screencast.com/t/m6ARxAOaBH7
You can do this for every smartlist style.

Thank you.
