Smartlists with pagination

Is it possible to have the smart list continue where it left off when using pagination? Currently if I have a list of ten items and want to split it into two pages the numbering starts over

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. <pagebreak> 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

What I would like

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. <pagebreak> 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.

Hi

I moved it in Newspaper forum.

The smart list posts weren’t designed to work with pagination and we haven’t tested them like that, we added two new smart lists: http://screencast.com/t/8THWQEJyRHp0 which reload the page when you click on next – prev buttons, and allow new ads being displayed, maybe those will serve you better.
