Smart/Sticky Sidebar on Certain Posts

Hey guys,

Is there a way to have the smart/sticky sidebar enabled on certain posts?

I want to have it disabled by default but enabled for just a series of posts.

Is this something you’ve been stumbled upon in the past and can help me out with some directions?

Thanks!

PS: you could be as techy as possible, don’t mind getting dirty with code, but need to know if there’s an easier way of doing it, without dealing with code.

Hi,

Yes this is possible, when you create/edit a post you can choose from post settings the sidebar position, and custom sidebar( here you put your sticky sidebar ).
Also you can set your sticky sidebar on categories ( https://www.screencast.com/t/n3fr2y10vfE ), please read more about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/

Thank you.

Salut Calin,

Thanks for the reply.

I got the settings part, but still have doubts on how to set a sidebar as sticky.

So, by default, all posts have sidebars(custom or not), but the stickyness is disabled.
I want to have them sticky on certain posts(certain sidebars set as sticky).

How do I set a sidebar for a single post to be sticky, knowing that all the rest are regular(no sticky when scrolling)?

Thanks!

Hi,

By default depend if the demo you have install have the smart sidebar enable or not ( https://www.screencast.com/t/tbhuxRCnpzS )
Sticky sidebar with TD Composer ( https://www.screencast.com/t/3RDMwNSKhmu ),
sorry, but for the moment you can not have both sidebar on your website.

Thank you for your understanding.
