Later this afternoon my Facebook social counter was reading 0. I went through all the forums and tried everything that was recommended. I tried changing FB id’s then changed back, deleting plugin and manually installing the latest plugin, reinstalling the whole them and even even tried deleting my cache plugin all with no results. I found out on the Newsmag forum that a lot of people over there are having the same issue so I am thinking it must be something in the code in the Social Counter plugin as I would assume they are both the same plugin.

I already installed 3.1 plugin version before it was 3.0
But still unsolved
I think the problem isn’t the plugin, I have one demo site not commercial for testing and it’s works fine, but in the commercial site don’t work. Both in 6.3.3 version theme and plugins package. The plugin crash 1 week ago without any change on theme or plugins.

Please clear your cache and check the new plugin with another user. Try ‘cocacola’ for example and see if the likes are being picked up.

Hi Bogdan and others,
For me, this is working fine after update.
I deleted the plugin after last theme update and re-installed the plug.
Cache may stop it from appearing for a few minutes, but it is all fine now.

With my Facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/grillstube2.0) i see in the social counter 0 fans (but my page got 124 likes..),
if i use N24 for example, i see 24,592,098 Fans, but the Facebook-Site still have 592,098 fans, not 24 Million fans more 🙂 (https://www.facebook.com/N24)

We are working hard to solve this issue with Social Counter and we will release an update for it.
You could try this version of Social Counter(it worked for some users) – http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/td-social-counter.zip Just deactivate and delete the current plugin and install this version, then use another fb id(like tagdiv) see if it works and then revert to your id so you will refresh it.
If it doesn’t work you will have to wait for the next update, we hope to fix it as soon as possible.
