I tried both user and id on plugin. The page setting is 13+.
I updated the theme to latest release 4.0.1 and updated the tagdiv_social_counter plugin as well. Please have a look

Its not working you can check online at http://www.rivaji.com, and see the link to facebook follow button. I tried to deactivate all plugins.
Its working when I am checking it on my local environment running WAMP, but not working online.

I have tested the facebook counter using both user and ID online this time http://screencast.com/t/iwseapJEg and had the same result as in your facebook page.

Should work just fine, please try deactivating and try to use this without any additional plugins online if you didn’t tested it this way.
Also update the theme to the latest version, I have made the tests using the 4.1 theme version and had no problems.
