Hi;

Following the instructions in your tutorial, I was able to activate the Social Counter but so far it only works for Facebook. I am trying to add Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ but nothing seems to be working.

Please help.

Thank you!

Hi,

It should work for all the socials, if configured correctly

Maybe you have caching installed, clear it after setting up the counter. If there is still a problem, please provide a link to your website where the counter is placed, so we can inspect it.

Thanks

Hello, Simon –

Thanks for your reply. I carefully followed the tutorial and cleared my cookies and cache as instructed, however the counters are still not completely functioning. (The Facebook counter appears to be working fine though.)

The Twitter counter is not working as there currently are 1,772 followers in that social media channel.

Also, I would like to add the counters for Instagram, but I cannot get this to work either.

Hi,

It seems the counter is not configured properly, you must enter the user IDs in the required fields, not the whole links (these will be added automatically)

This is an example for Instagram and Twitter

For Facebook just enter the ID as shown, and the rest of the necessary information.

Thanks

Hello, Simion:

That did the trick; it worked. Thank you so much!

Just curious: How were you able to determine that the social channels weren’t configured correctly?

Sincerely,
Warren T.

Hi,

Glad it works. I used the browser inspector to see the actual links, it is a useful tool

This is a guide if you would like to know more about using it

Thanks
