Since I made the update of the theme, the social counter widget for my twitter account is not working.
I try deleting it and rewriting again and still doesn’t work.
Do I have to go to the theme panel for solution?

Please make sure that you’re using V 4.1 of Social Counter plugin, this version is included in theme’s path, also make sure that you’ve setup the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ clear all caches then test again!

I couldn’t manage to make the counter plugin work.
I think I don’t have the V4.1 because the Visual composer plugin is not update. I have try several times to make the update, following the update steps, but it gives me WP error, because the size of the zip file exceeds the limit.
Please let me now if this two plugins are related or there’s a way to update the plugins separately.

I have the same problem. I have updated visual composer to 4.12. That’s working fine. But the social counter plugin I got with the Newsmag update was only 3.2. Is there a newer update? Please give me the link to this latest update? Thanks Marina

Make sure that you’re using V 3.1 of Newsmag theme and also try to update Social Counter plugin at V 4.1 which is included in theme’s path > plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/6r2LsUUcknzb The easiest way is to install the plugin from theme’s plugins panel: http://screencast.com/t/vBuS6iueqrc Just delete the old version and install the new one, configure it according with our documentation, clear all caches then test the site again.

Sorry for not answering since now, we were migrating our page from a new server and that took some time.
I did manage to update the visual composer plugin to V 4.12.
But still can make the social counter work, I want it to work only with Twitter.
I’ve tried as a widget and with the visual composer and it gives the same error; just a strange shape with no color or link. http://ampaturocanmates.org in “segueix-nos”….any idea, why it doesn’t work?
Our twitter ID, as is requested in social counter is ampatcm.
I have install the weather widget, works fine!

Seems that you’re using an older version of Social Counter plugin. Please make sure that you also update Social Counter at V 4.1, clear all caches then test the site again.

Yes, there’s a new version 4.12.1,
I updated to the version 4.12 and I haven’t purchase the license of Visual Composer, so I can’t make the new update automatic.
I only purchase the theme Newsmag and Visual composer comes integrated with the theme. The version of the theme is 3.1.
Can you give me a link to update Visual Composer?

Finally I understood that social counter was a different plugin aside from visual composer “silly me!”
Just updated it and works fine.
