I have the newsmag theme installed on my wordpress website. Lately i’ve noticed I have been having trouble posting embeded social media posts mostly for twitter. For example if I want to copy an embed twitter post into the editor, usually wordpress recognizes it and embeds it automatically. Lately i’ve been having problems where if I want to embed this https://twitter.com/Politicodivers2/status/782407010348326912 on a post, wordpress doesn’t recognizes it and just leaves it as is. I think it might be a theme issue since I disabled all active plugins and I still had that problem. I am using the latest wordpress version 4.6.1 and using the latest theme version 3.1.
Please help as this is very frustrating.

This is not a theme related issue as I’ve made some tests on my end with a default wp-theme and I got the same behavior: http://screencast.com/t/BqeBZytFyS – http://screencast.com/t/pKrE9qdXHq The post embedded from twitter are displayed fine on front end but their content is not displayed in back-end.

Thank you for confirming Andrel. What do you think can be the problem and how can it be fixed?

The issue is most likely related with new version of WordPress and to fix it are required some changes in wp-core files. Usually those issues are fixed by wp’s developers and for the moment we need to wait for the next update.
