Social network only working on Chrome

When I added my Twitter url (https://twitter.com/GFFoodProgram) to the theme/social networks area, it works fine in my Chrome browser. It will not work in Safari or Firefox. Clicking on the twitter icon in top or footer just takes me to a page inside the site.

I am running Newspaper 7.8.1 on WordPress 7.4.7

Please notice that Social Counter is fully compatible with the theme and should work as expected with all of these browsers. You should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, please provide some useful screenshots with the problem so I can quickly identify it.

Thanks for getting back to me. It was the weirdest thing… after adding the url for Twitter and Facebook, it worked immediately on Chrome, but took 24 hours on Windows, Safari and Firefox. All is working now.
