Disable the lazy load animation as first step and see if that fixes it.

Your homepage takes a very long time until is fully loaded. This time vary from 30-40 seconds to over 1 minute. This affect the way js works. You’re using lazy load animation and the images are displayed only after all resources are loaded on the page. The js will not do anything until all resources are loaded but if the time is to big will not work at all.
Try to deactivate lazy load animation from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/JLeDGGgmT then test the site again. if you refer to these images: http://screencast.com/t/KMsoh3wj1Nyu, those are images that were once loaded but cannot be found in the path anymore. They are missing images. We assumed you know what that icon means as it’s the standard web icon for a missing image. Please check the featured image on those posts. Remove the current featured image they have and add it again under a different name or add another image.
