Hey guys,

I just performed a theme update on the site. I’ve also installed the mobile theme plugin. I’ve just noticed that some of the pages are not loading the desktop format and are kind of broken. Can you please check.

Hi,

It seems the website is displaying the mobile theme on desktop. That should not happen, it could be caused by a caching plugin that you might have installed or there could be a conflict between the mobile theme and other plugins. This could cause the mobile theme stylesheet to load instead
Try to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, clear any installed cache and check the results.
Also check any custom code you might have entered in the theme panel sections, or added directly to the theme files.
Something is affecting the theme and interfering with the functionality.

Thanks

Should I just uninstall mobile theme plugin? All this stuff seems complicated. By the way, the two of the pages I shared with you are now loading correctly (can you please check from your end as well). But there are still some problem pages. I can’t figure out what’s happening.

Hi,

In those posts it is not happening anymore, but there are others where it is

What I meant was to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins including the mobile theme, leave that active. Everything should work properly after this, usually plugins are the cause for this kind of problems. Or maybe if there have been modifications to the theme files directly.
The mobile theme plugin is optional, you could simply deactivate it as well. The main theme is fully responsive and will adapt the website for every device.

Thanks

Does disabling this mobile theme plugin dramatically changes the theme code? During the theme update, I had a disastrous shake in my SERPs rankings. About disabling all other plugins, I will try it, however, I have all essential plugins installed. So, this would not be possible. Can you please take a look into the theme code on my site?

Hi,

The mobile theme is optional. The theme does not depend on this plugin and you can choose not to use it. In this case something must be causing the mobile theme style to apply when it should not.
This is usually caused by plugin conflicts, it could be a plugin that is interfering with the functionality and causing the mobile style to load. This can only be tested if the plugins would be deactivated and then tested. It may be optimization plugin, please try deactivating that and check if the website displays properly.

Thanks

I’ve deactivated mobile plugin, but it’s still loading it?

Hi,

This is highly unusual. That should not happen since the mobile theme plugin is deactivated. Try clearing all caching installed, and purge CDN files if you use it.

Thanks
