As shown here the feature to Sort order has a few options like random, last 7 days, all time popular, etc. but there are times when we may not have published anything in the last seven days, we may not want to show very old posts, or we may not want to keep showing only last latest posts.
Under the circumstance, an option to randomly show from say last 20 posts could do the job. In other words, an option to limit randomly shown posts to a maximum number of latest posts in a given category would be very useful.
In absence of such a feature, please let me know if there is any workaround. Thanks.

Unfortunately there is no such sorting option in our theme. You can try to sort specific categories or specific posts altogether using the post and category id’s. Here is a guide that shows all the possible block settings our theme provides: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ but there is no simple way of implementing a custom sorting option. You will need coding skills for it.
