Hi,
by default, under Appeareance > Widgets I can define widgets shown on the sidebar of ALL articles.
Is it possible to define a custom sidebar with specific widgets to be displayed only for a specific article?

Hello,
Yes, you can. You can create a new sidebar like so:

After you add your widgets to it, you can select the sidebar for each post in particular like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/uApHiXlf
