With the 4.1 version the speed booster plugin is automatically disabled as it is tested and it works fine with some recommended plugins. A lot of people install the plugin without knowing what it does and after that they add many plugins and some of the plugins are not written ok. For example some of the plugins do not respect the google pagespeed recommendations of punting javascript at the end of the page and they just try to use jQuery in the middle of the page. If you want to always enable speed booster, delete this code from speed booster file: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh

Revisiting this: considering the importance of ACF to a lot of sites, and the fact that it doesn’t necessarily add any frontend pages (if that’s relevant for the speed booster plugin), do you think you could just add it to the allowed plugins?

I’ve added your request on our list and we will consider it. Until then you can edit your plugin version here ..\wp-content\plugins\td-speed-booster\td-speed-booster.php and add this line: 'advanced-custom-fields/acf.php' like this: http://screencast.com/t/LpflDkB8oh then the ACF plugin will not be treated as incompatible anymore.

ACF5 is pretty good and fully updated for all the latest WP stuff properly.
