While I can see that the Speedbooster plugin does increase the speed of the site loading, it also causes the default styles to load and then my custom styles, entered via the theme panel.
This makes it a bit juddery on load and well, not as smooth as I’d like it. Without speedbooster it’s better but still a bit clunky – what can I do to make this better.

This kind of “problems” appears when you use the Speed Booster plugin and you have some custom modification on your site. If you want to exclude this loading delay, you have to put manually each your custom CSS modification in style.css. Here, I am referring to all the changes you have done into your Theme panel. The main core file is style.css and the first time the theme load the styles from this file and then the theme load your custom styles.
The way Speed Booster improves site’s page speed it’s by moving some CSS and js resources, which usually are loaded in the header, to the footer, such that the browser can load the content faster.
