Hi,
Is there an issue with SSL and the Newspaper theme in some browsers?
I switched to Newspaper theme last week and conversion from my Cart page (Not SSL) to Checkout Page (SSL) has dropped dramatically.
I use Chrome (Mac) and it works fine but just jumped onto Safari and now I can’t get from the Cart to the Checkout page.
Is there something I should be doing here?
Thanks
Steve
Hi,
I’m not sure how this happens in your case as I have checked your site on safari browser and worked fine for me. Could you please make sure that this is still happening and let me know. Also make sure you deactivate the plugins that are no essential for this and try without them and please check for errors in your console.
Please let me know!
Thanks
Looks like an intermittent problem as it works in Safari for me this morning as well!
My drop out rate from CART to CHECKOUT has increased from 53% to 77% in the last week since installing the Newspaper theme so I’m trying to work out why this is happening.
Do you have any suggestions about what could be the cause of the site intermittently hanging when going from CART to CHECKOUT?
Thanks
Steve
Hi,
@pixus
You have this js errors in your console when navigating to the checkout page: http://screencast.com/t/XgjCtxmt
Looks like some images loaded within the theme files are treated as insecure and I see that you use some minified js so please make sure you disable all plugins and also empty cache and purge files if you use any CDN services.
Thanks
Lucian,
This just showed up in my Chrome console. I’m not using a CDN, not using any caching plugin right now.
Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://tribyoot.org/12544/neuschwanstein-castle-inspires-disney-sleeping-b…review=true&preview_id=12544&preview_nonce=d3227843f7&post_format=standard’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://tribyoot.org/Tribyoot/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/header/elements-menu.png’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
It looks like the theme image is being sent insecure. Any idea how to resolve it?
