Just downloaded the theme and I’m trying to set it up. Installed demo data then tried to select a different stack and nothing changes? The demo data stays on the default stack? What am I overlooking?
I’ve deleted the demo data and replaced it with my content and tried to change the style and it still will not work?
Thanks
Hi,
I have also tested this using the latest theme evrsion and haven;t had any issue of this type so you shoiuldn;t experinece this also.
Please try this without any plugins active and also make sure you empty cache as well and make sure the theme actually saves settings. The issue with saving settings usually appears because the server security module blocks the access to admin-ajax.php file. Try to verify if this happens when you save settings in other cases in theme panel and also verify the console for error while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
Contact your server administrator and explain the situation, as it’s requested many times during the a save the file it’s treated as threat so it’s banned. You can report false positives to your server administrator to remove it from the banned list.
Hope this helps! Please let me know and also provide your site’s URL!
Thanks
Hi,
thanks for the reply.
I can get it to import and save the fonts and colors but not the style.. I’ve emptied cache and turned off all plug ins. Still will not save the style I want?
I’ve emailed host and asked about the security issue so well see I guess.
Any other ideas while I wait to hear back from them?
Thanks
Hi,
I’ve been trying all day to get this figured out. Host says it’s not a security issue. The fonts and colors save as well as any other setting that I change will also save.
No matter what I do I can not get the Tech stack to stick. I’m not sure If I’m overlooking something else that needs to be set? I’ve downloaded the demo content and it stays in the default style regardless of the style I choose. I’m trying to use the tech style on this site.
Super frustrated at this point.. I was hoping it would be simple to download this theme and set it up they way I would like. At this point I don’t know what to say..
Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated.
I sent the domain name to the contact email. You can see the site has the tech colors and fronts but the images are not like the tech stacks it more like a regular blog?
Thanks
Chris,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have tried it every way possible.. I just tried again. I only have visual composer installed at the moment. Just cleared cache and tried it. No go.
When I go to “import predefined styles” and click “Tech” it should change my homepage to the tech layout right? With the three post boxes across the top? If so, the site stays looking like a regular blog with the posts all in order going straight down? Nothing is on the sidebar either.
I’ve messed around with it all day trying to figure it out. I have no clue at this point..
Thanks
Well, you still need to build your home page if it’s a new blank website.
Look at the ‘hello world’ post page to see if the styles have applied; at least that’s how it works for me.
Are you also clearing server side cache if you’re on a hosting provider that turns that on for your WordPress install for you (if you’re using a WP specialist host), and also if using CDN you need to release/update/expire stuff for the new CSS to load.
a) be sure not to test this with child theme
b) be sure to test this on real web server, not local install
a link to a sample page might be helpful 🙂
Hi,
Thanks Chris!
@ERP Please note that when you load the stacks the content or the page layout doesn’t change. This option will just import color settings, font settings..
Please import demo data then insatl stacks: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-the-demo-data/ after doing this you will find the “homepage – tech” page under home pages on your menu: http://screencast.com/t/o9ctnXKirncS
That should look like the tech page from our demo.
Please let me know if you still can’t manage to do this and also provide yous site’s URL.
Also replied via email.
Thanks
