Sticky Navigation Menu

Hello,

I was wondering if are there any elements we can use in TagDiv (or settings) that can show the users a “sticky post/page navigation menu” like the one showed here: https://app.screencast.com/XZ17cvDo1nZRy

Standard Menus / mega menus as far as I can see cannot do this, as the “menu” remembers the page and the active menu item show the current page. When you click on each menu item, a new page opens with a new content and the menu stays. (So it is not an “anchor” type of menu that moves you through the same page. Each menu link opens a new page)

I’ll appreciate if you can let me know how this can be achieved.

Thanks in advance,
Ozgur

Hello Ozgur!

Set the menu’s row as sticky: https://prnt.sc/sR1ppwW85x9M
Or you can add a new row and split it in two: https://prnt.sc/n-NNUnpuNNFj and set the sticky column: https://prnt.sc/xqVkKKnqoNYm

In Appearance -> Menus, you can add to your menu a custom link like this: https://prnt.sc/upQb0AvOJ4wq
Set the link to open in a new tab from this page: https://prnt.sc/vPUOdAXCNdj9 activate that link target option, and then you’ll have the option here: https://prnt.sc/DZsy9bEe1o8T

Thank you!

Hello Bettina,

Thank you for the info. Can you please help me with these questions:

1. We only have 2 elements in the tagDiv Composer for menu items, “list menu” and “header menu”, is that correct? (please see: https://app.screencast.com/Cq4httaNwO8cH)

2. What I am trying to achieve is a more sophisticated & good looking sticky menu like this one: https://app.screencast.com/XZ17cvDo1nZRy. Do you think it is possible with the elements we have in the tagDiv Composer or the nice looking menu I sent is maybe done by another plugin like Max Mega Menu plugin?

3. Is Max Mega Menu plugin compatible with Newspaper theme & Cloud templates? (I think I can use it by shortcodes of the max mega menu plugin?)

Thank you!
Ozgur

Hello Ozgur!

1. Yes. The mobile horizontal menu is also available.

2. You can only make a sticky menu. But you cannot make a table of contents like in the screenshot. In the next update, we will introduce an element that can help you achieve what you need.

3. We did not test this plugin, so we cannot say if it will work or not.

Thank you!
