When you publish a new blog post you can choose styles in the bottom under the text.
When I first installed the newspaper theme I could choose any of them and the sidebar (not the smart one) would display globally showing an ad and social media etc.
Now I can ONLY choose the default one – otherwise the side bar doesnt show anything (it’s just empty!)
How can I fix this?

I did – what do I need to look for? No, I didn’t update anything recently. Also, hopefully an update shouldn’t mess with this too hard.
Please help. This is frustrating and limiting for users, authors and readers.

Note that ANY style chosen will make the sidebar disappear, it’s ONLY the default page where it stays.

It has the generic recent posts, categories, etc, under inactives

And if these were once active widgets, did you use them as a sidebar on pages or posts? If so, then you will need to recreate them.
