I have had lot of problems whit my theme child on v8.5 Newspaper.
Now I have updated to v8.5.1 (already replaced with new theme-child files from “code” folder) but some problems are solved but there are new like this:

Please also replace the multi-purpose plugin. Simply updating will not fix the issues. You have to disable and delete the multi=purpose plugin and install it again from the theme panel plugin section. The plugin will not update automatically.

Ok, it works but, after install update v8.5.1, I saw that multi-purpose plugin version was the same (v1.0) so I don’t replace the plugin.
Why don’t you have change to v1.1 (for example) the multi-purpose plugin version? That is crazy.

The version of the plugin did not change. It is still version 1.0 but the fixes have been implemented. Please delete the current version of the plugin and install the plugin again from the new theme package.
