Stop ad slots appearing per category

Hi guys – got a random question. We want to stop any of our ad slots from appearing on certain categories. We can force ones in the sidebar not appear based on category or post, but the header and footer ad slots seem to be globally controlled. Is there anything we could do from a theme perspective?

Hello stephanwhelan,

Please notice that you can stop the ads displaying for a certain category if you will use the category ID and then if you will use a bit of CSS code you can hide the ads from that page. You should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, you can tell me where exactly you want to remove the ads. What category page, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
