i’m using NewsMag and Event Manager. Everything works except one thing.
On my blog i have sidebar with latest artciles (NAJNOWSZE ARTYKUŁY): http://www.edurozrywka.pl/blog – the dates of articles are dispayed correctly, as they should be.
The same sidebar is displayed on the signle event view, as in these samples:

The problem is that in second case all the articles in sidebar are taking the date for the event.
How to change it or display another sidebar (i have second one without widgets with with blocks).
Please help.

Hi,
For some reason get_the _time function take the custom post date also in the sidebar. A solution it will be to leave the default sidebar for this custom posts and change sidebars for all other categories, posts, pages…

thank you for the reply. The solution you proposed might be ok, but i would prefer to change the sidebar for this custom posts to the default one which i’m using on the home page. The problem is that i have no idea how to change the sidebar for these custom posts.

Maybe you did not understand me. You already use the sidebar from homepage(default) also on your event posts, just that appear this issue with date. You can try to change the sidebar for your posts(theme’s templates) from Theme Panel > Categories > each category(this sidebar will also appear on post from that category): http://screencast.com/t/H9PzO5ZOEdQd And the default sidebar will appear only on your event post and you can add widgets that will not display date for example: http://screencast.com/t/9P2OOhIJH – http://screencast.com/t/xNRn5CQc
You cannot change the sidebar for your event post, so those will use theme’s default sidebar, but you can set a custom sidebar for category pages, posts, pages so I think this is the best and easiest solution.

i’m lost now, so i will try explain what i have. I have to sidebars:
– Newsmag Default which i display on home page (it includes orange widget called Newsletter)
– Blog Sidebar which i display under Blog menu
http://www.edurozrywka.pl/blog (it does not have orange widget Newsletter)
On my single event (which is displayed as a page not post) i want to show Newsmag Deault sidebar instead of Blog Sidebar because on Blog Sidebar is the problem with dates.
I’m not sure if i’m clear enough, but hope it helps.

i have it working. Now i understood what i meant 😉 So the issue was that i had Blog Sidebar set for Page Template.

i have to bring it back. I was wrong that i solved the issue. I’m able to display one sidebar on all pages of my website including single event.
But then i can’t display dedicated (different from Newsmag default) sidebar on my blog.

You could workaround this and create a custom page for your blog/latest posts page and use the pagebuilder + latest articles list page template without any other customization to it you should have the same result as for using the latest articles page, but using like this will let you customize you blog page as you like and also set a custom sidebar for it.

That is exatly what i did. And it’s not working. I’ve Blog sidebar selected but it displays Newsmag default sidebar.
This page http://www.okti.pl/blog is my custom page called Blog. No customization. Just Page builder + latest + pagination.
Any idea why it’s not working. I’m on Newsmag 1.6 and WP 4.1.1.
