I have a very strange problem reported from my user (who is also owner of the site). He can’t copy and paste links anymore, using his tablet. I thought it might be a tablet problem, but he tried it on different tablets, all work the same. I tried it, but can’t reproduce the error.
He copies a link, pastes it in the article, which works. But the link is gone when he saves or posts the article.
He also gets a message to register his Visual Composer. I’ve just extended my subscription, but have to install the latest version. Might that be the cause of the problem?
There was bug in WordPress tinyMCE editor — not related to theme in any way — that was fixed by this week’s update to WordPress; so make sure WP has been updated, then have client fully clear all caching/history in his browser(s) on tablet.
Also, make sure he is using ‘visual’ editor in WP as the text edit doesn’t insert live links when doing copy-paste from HTML. Basic WP usage worth a refresher with clients, I often find đ
Yesterday I went to see what the problem is. First problem are the links. That really doesn’t work for him. I tried two different ways to add a link to a text, neither worked. I’m using the latest Dutch version of WordPress. I can’t update, because there is no update.
He suggested that the permalinks might be full. All links are somehow (no idea how that works, but I did see a loooooooong list of used links to choose from) in the memory.
He is using an Ipad. i’m using a laptop, and rarely use a tablet, so I’m out of my debt here. Would it help if I use a different editor than TinyMCE? If so, which one do you recommend?
The other problem is more pressing: when he wants to moderate comments, he can’t. When he wants to work on a comment, a screen shows up “Hola! Would you like to receive automatic….” clicking ‘hide this message doesn’t hide that message.
I have no such problems at all. But then, I don’t work on a tablet.

Hi,
The first step should be to disable all the plugins except Visual composer, deactivate the child theme if you use it, then clear any caching installed and try again. Check any code that might be present in the theme panel custom code sections, or added directly to the theme files.
If the problem is still present, you could make a test and see if it works properly while using a WordPress default theme active.
You could also try with other editors, but I could not make any recommendations in this matter, maybe other users might provide useful insight.
Please let us know how it goes and what the results are.
Thanks
