Stray text in Widget coming from theme

If you look at the Widget on the very bottom right in this URL you’ll see that the characters “>>>>>” in each row of the Widget.

I contacted the developer of the plugin and was told that this is coming from the Theme.

I inspected the page and this seems to be coming from here

Hi,

This “>>>>>” can appear if you are using some plugins, or if you made some changes in theme files.
Please deactivate all non theme plugins, clear all cache and try again.

I tried your suggestion of deactivating all non them plugins and clearing the cache and that did not work.
This happens on 2 different sites.
It also happens in any widget area that you place the widget

I figured out a CSS hack to remove it. Thanks
