Hi.
I´m loving this theme but I am having a problem with Big grid 4 and 5. Whenever using them as they are images show just fine at homepage. But when using the “stretch row and content” function images do not scale according to the box. They leave a grey area to the right of the image.
Should he image not be able to zoom in ti fit into the box? I think it happened that way before but now it don´t work.
I have regenerated thumbnails and also uploaded the images several times and they 1920×1080 px.
Site is http://www.windroid.se/
Thanks

Hi,
Unfortunately our theme does not stretch images. It just crops them. If you stretch a row and content, you will need to use a plugin named thumbnail upscale to enlarge your images (not sure it will work though as it’s not tested)
Our blocks were not meant to be stretched to full width so they will not display properly this way.
Thank you!
But, shouldn’t they work as a post that uses style 7 where the image crops no matter screen resolution? Other wise what’s the point in using stretch content if the images don’t crop correctly? Thumbnail upscale doesn’t work.
Hi,
The posts are different than the stretched row in visual composer. They are coded to work that way. The stretch row option comes from visual composer not the theme so that is why the option exists. Not all elements will be able to stretch along with the row unfortunately. Sorry!
As for the thumbnail upscale plugin, you will need to regenerate your thumbs for it to work.
Thanks.
I’ve just done a search for this very issue, and see there are quite a few other similar support requests for full width grids. This is quite a popular thing to do these days.
I’ve managed to get it working how I want it with the exception of the image scaling.
I’m keep coming across these limitations which is stopping me from achieving my vision.
I don’t have too many customisations I want to do beyond the default theme, but it would certainly be good if it had allowances for full width.
Hi,
Unfortunately our themes were not designed with a full width in mind. The content width was added fixed and all elements depend on this fixed width. You can have full width content in visual composer though but if you add a background image or color, the site will go into boxed mode. We are aware of the many full width requests but unfortunately if we have to add a full width layout, basically all of the theme elements will have to be re-created from scratch which unfortunately is not so easy to do, but who knows what the future will bring.
Thank you!
