Hi, Just updated to Newsmag 3.4 and found that all my posts with Style 6 Post Template has a messed up featured image (the one on the top), as in the image does not cover the whole width anymore
Here is an example post with Style 6

Is this a bug and is there a quick fix I can do for now?

Ah, alright, thanks for the help. Never happened before when I upgraded the version so I wasn’t sure what’s happening.
Just installed the plugin and run the regeneration process. I have 18,298 images in total so this might take.. a while lol
Hi,
It looks like it’s not the thumbnails problem. I uploaded a new image and set it as the featured image and the layout still messes up.
I think it’s more like a CSS problem which is beyond my technical expert (only know a bit of it)?
An update (in case someone else encounters the same problem):
– I tried using Newsmag v3.3 style.css and overwrite it to my Newsmag v3.4. Problem still exists (so it’s not the style.css issue it seems)
– I then replace the whole folder and use/revert back to Newsmag v3.3. Problem goes away.
– If I tried the v3.4 again, problem comes back.
So for now, I’m back to using v3.3
Hello michaelaulia,
I have inspected again your website and the featured image from Style 6 seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/pSb3mRnuT Clear all your caches and check again.
Thanks for the message!
Yeah, it works at the moment because I reverted back to Newsmag version 3.3 (which is what I’m using now). If I switched to the latest Newsmag 3.4, the problem would appear again. It doesn’t appear to be a cache, thumbnails, or dns problem
OK,
Please update to the latest version by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ and then please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If the issue is still there afterwards, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate. You will need top leave the error visible so we can debug it if needed.
Thank you!
Hi,
As a quick update:
There seemed to be an issue with the update that was uploaded to envato and we had to fix it and re-upload it. Please download the theme package again and re-apply the theme update. Replace all of your files with the ones you download fresh from envato and let us know if you still experience problems with our theme.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hi Bogdan,
Tried re-downloading and using the new files for v3.4. Looks like all is working as it should now – thanks!
