Hello. I really enjoy Style 8 from the build in post templates and would like to edit it and use it. However, since its built-in, it is not editable. Is there a way to make it editable?

Unfortunately the default template from theme can not be editable, but you can edit a single post template that is the same as post style 8, you can get that it from tagDiv Cloud Library, in single and you can edit it using tagDiv Compose.

I have been looking at those options – none, however, has the feature image as a background for the article like in post style 8

If you like the style 8 and you want to edit it you can do it only in tagDiv Composer plugin files, in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/parts/single/single_template_8.php or loop-single-8.php
